In the browser plugin settings, Bitwarden is set to timeout the vault after 1 hour. If I try enough times, it will eventually stay unlocked. (Unlock briefly, up to maybe 5 seconds, then relock.) The next time I click the padlocked icon, it starts the authentication process again and this cycle repeats. I can see the padlock badge remove from the Bitwarden toolbar icon when this happens, and if there are current-site matches they might autofill and I will see the matching-site-count badge on the toolbar icon.īut then, in many cases within a few seconds later, the browser plugin vault apparently relocks. The fingerprint is recognized and the browser plugin unlocks my vault. I provide my fingerprint (via the built-in reader on a Microsoft branded USB connected keyboard). When I click the Bitwarden icon in Firefox's toolbar, it switches me to the Bitwarden desktop app which pops up the Windows Hello security dialog box. I'm using Bitwarden on a Windows 11 PC with Firefox and the desktop app.
